About

My interest in photography started as a teenager along with a love of mountains and wild places. Most weekends I would head out into the hills with a small group of like-minded friends from my local camera club. Like many keen photographers in the late 1970's I was shooting in black and white and had my own darkroom set up in the attic of my parents' house.

Photography lay dormant for many years due to family, work and sporting commitments. In 2015 I began seeing and making photographs again. My passion for photography was reborn and I bought my first digital SLR.

I believe that an interesting image can be made anywhere and it doesn't always have to be the big classic view. Many of my woodland photographs were shot within a small geographical area which I visited many times and got to know intimately.

Now living in the north west Highlands I am enjoying exploring the photographic opportunities of the hills, lochs and seascapes and continuing my photographic journey.

I hope you enjoy my images.
